Doug Ross's last sermon: plumbing the reaches of God’s love for YOU

“What’s your specialty?” a preacher once asked Pastor Doug. Stumped at first, he pondered the many areas he was not a specialist in, then replied with an answer obvious to anyone who knew him: “The love of Jesus Christ.”

Doug Ross exemplified and lived out the everlasting, overwhelming, powerful love of God and—as only our Lord could arrange it—that divine Love formed the focus of his very last sermon (viewable below: apologies for the poor video quality).

In his message, packed as always with scriptural back-up, he wonderfully shows the stages of accepting and living in that love.

1.     We come to Him with all our weary heaviness (Matt. 11:28);
2.    We stay there. “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:38-9);
3.     We GO, because “there is too much not to share,” Doug reminded us and lived out so well. “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to everyone” (Mark 16:15).
